Build your own weather station from scratch – and bring it home with you!

When

30. September.

Time: 18:00 - 21:00

What

Sign up for our "The Future of Weather Forecasts"-track today, where you will build and take home your very own weather station – for free! But don't wait to reserve your spot. We have a hard limit of 20 participants.

In Bergen, we care a lot about the weather. Yes, it rains a lot. But how will the climate changes affect the temperatures in your local environment? Scientists and meteorologists are now using the power of crowds to answer that question. Join Future Week's weather track and be part of the crowd-sourced science project that will attempt to predict how the local climate will be affected by the bigger global picture.

In this workshop, you will get your hands dirty, soldering microchips, transistors, and resistors into a fully functioning IoT weather station that will transmit data to the cloud using open and free The Things Network technology. The best part of it all? After the workshop, you will get to take home your very own weather station and contribute to climate research. It doesn't get better than that!
