Charlie Halford from the BBC will run a two-part presentation and workshop, exploring the C2PA standard for media provenance and what it can do to prevent misinformation.

What

The first part will look at the problems we face, and how we might adapt media workflows to take advantage of this new technology. 

The second part will focus on the technology itself, how it works, and the things we will need to think about when implementing it into our workflows and tools.

You can either participate in person in the Medialab in Media City Bergen or interactively on Zoom.

 

 

About Charlie Halford
Charlie Halford is an engineer, architect and researcher, whose interests focus on the application of new technology towards public and societal good. His career has meandered around content production, management and metadata, often from a data, platform or infrastructure angle.

More recently, he has been a proud part of the BBC’s work in combatting disinformation (through Project Origin and the C2PA), and in protecting audience privacy (through Cornmarket and Solid).
