Published 23.09.2019
It is a pleasure to announce that renowned Design Thinking expert Justin Ferrell is coming to Bergen and Stavanger for two separate masterclasses together with the Norwegian Media Cluster.

Justin Ferrell has visited the Media Cluster on numerous occasions, sharing his expertise on Design Thinking through workshops and popup talks for our members. His workshops in Bergen have proven to be hugely popular – tickets were sold out in just a matter of days when he visited Media City Bergen last year. You can get a recap of Ferrell's last visit here.

This year we will be hosting two workshops for our members: One in the Media City Bergen Media Lab, and one with the newly established NCE Media satellite in Stavanger.

October 2: Design Thinking Masterclass in Bergen

October 3: Design Thinking Masterclass in Stavanger

Participants will engage with the design thinking process and its methods in a full-day, hands-on workshop. The experience begins with a rapid design challenge to introduce the full cycle of the process: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test.

Participants will learn not only the tools of design thinking but also the role of problem-framing in their work, and will then apply these learnings to their own organizational challenge. When focusing on efficiency, creative problem-solving leads to incremental improvements. When focusing on transformation, creative problem-finding can lead to entirely new solutions.
